Mount Hope PRIDE
Mount Hope PRIDE is a grassroots organization made up of volunteers working together to make our community a better place.
Throughout the year and all around Mount Hope, you’ll find dedicated PRIDE members making a difference in the lives of the people of Mount Hope. Much of our work involves planning, organizing and assisting with community events. In the spring we hold the annual Easter Egg Hunt for children. As the Christmas season arrives so does Santa Claus at the annual Santa Comes to Town event that includes dinner and a hayrack ride. PRIDE volunteers assist with the City Prairie Festival each year offering a wide range of fun activities to bring the community together. Providing fun, competition and a chance to help support our mission, we host a Trap Shooting contest and raffle to raise funds. This summer we are adding a Community Swim Party to our events. Watch for more information soon.
While much of our work is focused on bringing the community together for fun events, we also have programs to assist local youth. We provide funds to make sure the youth in our community have access to healthy food in the summer when they are not at school. We also provide free passes to the City Swimming Pool for those youth who don’t have the resources for this expense.
